This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application DaisyChord (the "App"). • Song request information: When you submit a song request, we collect the song title, artist name, optional email address, and optional additional information.
• App preferences: Settings you configure within the App, including theme (light/dark), font size, auto-scroll settings, and scroll speed.
• Account information (Google Sign-In): If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and Google user ID.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Network requests: When you browse songs, artists, bands, or chords, the App fetches content from our servers.
• Analytics data: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized usage data (screen views, feature usage), device information (model, OS version), and crash reports.
• Push notification data: When notifications are enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) collects device tokens to deliver notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• Authenticate users via Google Sign-In.
• Process and respond to your song requests.
• Send optional push notifications such as app updates, feature announcements, or important notices.
• Apply your app preferences (theme, font size, scroll settings).
• Fetch and display song, artist, band, and chord information.
• Deliver in-app update notifications to ensure you are using the latest version of the App.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your app preferences are stored locally on your device using secure storage. Authentication and song request data are stored securely on our servers and Firebase services.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure.

The guitar tuner feature uses microphone/audio access to detect guitar pitch. Audio is processed locally on your device in real-time and is never stored, recorded, or transmitted. Recording stops when you exit the tuner.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in these situations:

• Service providers performing services on our behalf (e.g., Firebase, hosting).
• Legal requirements (law, court order, government request).
• Business transfers (merger, acquisition, asset sale).
• With your explicit consent.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

• Google Sign-In: Used for authentication and account access.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects anonymized usage data, device information, and crash reports.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to send push notifications.
• Google Play In-App Updates: Used to notify and deliver app updates.

The App may request the following permissions:

• Internet: Required to fetch song, artist, band, and chord data, authenticate users, send requests, and deliver updates.
• Microphone/Audio Recording (Android): Used for the guitar tuner to detect pitch. Audio is processed locally and never stored or sent.
• Notifications (Android): Used to send optional push notifications such as updates and announcements.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Review your app preferences and account information.
• Deletion: You may sign out or request account deletion. Local app data can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the App.
• Correction: Update your app preferences in the App settings.
• Opt-out: Disable push notifications or choose not to sign in with Google.

8. Data Retention

Local app preferences remain until deleted by you or until the App is uninstalled. Account and song request data may be retained as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence, including through Firebase and Google services. These countries may have different data protection laws.
